Woodridge Strathmore Terrace is an HOA community of 226 attached one-story homes, in Mount Sinai, on New York’s Long Island. 

The first thing most visitors notice as they come through the front gate is how green it is, with trees, bushes, flowers, and expansive areas of well-maintained grass. But what really makes Strathmore special is the people. This 55-plus community has residents from their 50s to their 90s, and there is always something to do!

The clubhouse has a kitchen, big screen TV, a pool table, exercise equipment and a library. Outside, there is an inviting swimming pool, tennis court, pickleball, handball, shuffleboard, miniature golf, bocce, and a community garden. And in the winter, no worries about snow. It is shoveled all the way to your front door!  What’s key here is friendship. Homeowners can make new friends at Bingo night, or playing poker, mahjong, or Dominoes. And there are always plenty of laughs when the dice are thrown for Left, Right, Center.  In addition, there is a wide variety of special events, from resident get-togethers, to holiday parties, to day-trips to see Broadway shows. We also have a free shuttle bus to grocery stores and Smith Haven mall. On top of all that, Strathmore is a pet-friendly community. You can often see homeowners walking their dogs and stopping to chat with neighbors.
